September is here! Scorching hot summer days are behind us and kids are now back in school. While my vegetable garden is producing again, Gregg and Marc are gearing up to see old friends and meet new DesktopServer fans!
September 10th and 11th, 2016
Being a huge fan of the WordPress community, Gregg is always in the mood to see friends and customers. That’s where he gets valuable feedback on DesktopServer and WPSiteSync. If you don’t want to talk shop, Gregg loves a variety of topics including apple pies and hiking in the hills.
For Dave, WordCamps are a great incentive to come out of his coding cave for some fresh air. Funny thing is he still can’t stop talking about code. So, definitely drop by and say hi. To distract Dave from code, all you have to do is dangle a donut or two in front of his face! The way he sees it, wherever there are donuts, there’s coffee.
Oh, Marc. Well. If you haven’t met Marc yet, you must come by and say hello! Marc is one of warmest and funniest people you’ll ever meet. And I’m not just talking about his body temperature. He’s from Milwaukee so instantly everyone becomes a friend in 3 minutes flat. It’s genuine. It feels a little strange if you are from a big city. That’s our Marc. He really loves talking business and offers great tips to freelancers. Photography is his other love. You will likely see him with a camera! Oh, yeah. He’s big on fostering kids. Ask him about that.
September 17th and 18th, 2016
Speaking of Marc, he’s the Lead Organizer for WordCamp Milwaukee this year, which is happening September 17th and 18th. We are so proud to be sponsoring #WCMKE. We have a new appreciation for Marc at the office. Marc not only gets everything done at work, but he has been staying up many nights working on bringing Milwaukee another Great WordPress event!
September 21st, 2016
Evening of September 21st, Gregg and I will be at the Orange County Women in WordPress Meetup. Gregg has been asked to do a DesktopServer demo for the group. I’m mostly tagging along to be the “woman” part for Gregg. Either that, or we need to put some lipstick and a skirt on him. I wonder what that would look like…
On a serious note, besides my passion for all things business, I do enjoy getting to know people. The more I learn about you the more I can connect you with potential Clients. Sometimes I talk a lot. Marc jokes that I’m the only one who can out talk him. (Yes! I win!) Anyway, I’d love to meet you if you can make it out to the Meetup. You do not need to be a woman to attend. But skirts are strongly encouraged. LOL Let’s get out from behind our computers and have ourselves some fun! =)
See you soon!
We end September, heading to WordCamp Phoenix. More to come on that! Please do come by and say howdy if you are at one of these Events. We really do love meeting new people. Besides, human interaction for this remote team is greatly appreciated. =) If you’d like to request a demo or presentation for your Meetup, please contact us! See you soon!
Besides being the Scrum Master at ServerPress, LLC, Jennifer oversees the Product portfolio, leading Projects from conception to launch. When she’s not analyzing Workflow data, she enjoys watching her dogs steal tomatoes from her veggie garden.
