DesktopServer – Create locally installed WordPress Websites › Forums › Public Discussions › Problem creating site

I am trying to create my first dev site with DS. It allows me to create a site with the URLs http://www.biennial.dev and biennial.dev but not http://www.biennialoftheamericas.dev or biennialoftheamericas.dev. Is there a character limitation in the URL? I am trying out the Lite version to see if it or the pro can replace MAMP in my workflow.
When I visit the non-functioning URLs’ /wp-admin page they give me “Object Not Found” errors. If I visit the public URL, I just get a blank page. The directory was created and populated. The database was created, but is blank (I believe because I haven’t run the WP install yet).
Thanks for your help.

This does not pose an issue for us. Please see the attached file. However, can you indicate the Site Root Folder path you are using (see screenshot)? Please ensure this path is ‘permalink’ friendly (no punctuation, characters a-z, numerics, hyphen and underscores are ok).

This appears to be working for me now. Must have needed just one more DS restart.
