Hello,
I copied/pasted all the files in my root folder to a new location to try to troubleshoot a separate issue, then copy/pasted them back, but now my site is broken! No files or code were changed, just moved and then put back.
This is the error I receive when trying to load the site:
( ! ) Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VAR in /Users/CorviDesign/Documents/Websites/www.ludington2.dev/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1224

Again, I’m baffled because no files were changed.. and have no idea how to begin to fix this!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Magpie,
I’m sorry to hear this. First, let’s make sure that DesktopServer knows that your files are there. Start DesktopServer and visit the option to “Remove or copy…”, this will list all the sites you have created. Any sites where the root is missing will show the root as [Not Found]. Moving or deleting site files can leave a website ‘orphaned’ as a website consists of server configuration files, actual website files (the .php, html, css, etc), and the database stored in xampp.
Based on your error, I would suspect that the files are present, or a few might be missing. It could also be a broken theme. Can you visit your administration screen to activate re-save permalinks (via the Settings menu) and re-activate your theme (via http://www.ludington2.dev/wp-admin)?
You may wish to post your wp-config.php or send it to use privately at support@serverpress.com
