    Hi,
I am using the free version of Desktop Server at the moment as we are assessing if its the product for us
In the list of connections on the Desktop server wizzard
“file not Found” is showing for the three sites we have.
The files are in the same location but for some reason they are not showing up.
Is there any way i can go in through the back and tell the application where to look for my sites.

    Thanks

    Annie

    Hello Annie,
This can happen if the path for the file has been deleted or moved outside of DesktopServer (instead, use DesktopServer’s “remove” or “copy” options). What platform/OS version are you running on? DesktopServer stores this information in two locations depending on your filesystem.

    Hi Annie,
Within your C:\ProgramData\DesktopServer folder, you should find a file called com.serverpress.desktopserver.json. Care should be taken when editing this file. It should only be edited while DesktopServer is closed, and only from a plain text editor (such as Notepad). This file contains the paths needed for DesktopServer to resolve where a given website is defined. If you change the file, be sure to use DesktopServer’s first “Stop or restart…” option to apply the changes.

    Regards,
    Stephen
