I’m new to this and came to DS as a way of developing a WP site. Some experience with iThemes Builder as platform. W7 professional OS and I have the virtual XP installed.

DS installation seemed to go just fine. Have my .dev site in the Websites folder and WP is installed with all it’s related files and folders. When I try to open the site I get what looks like an FTP file director screen – attached. When I go to taskmgr/services as many posts suggest, i don’t see mySQL or apache. I’ve got back and started DS and had it restart with MySQL and Apache but they still don’t show up in the services.

Don’t know what I’m missing here so any suggestions welcome.

    Hello Robert,
Within the task manager, did you click the “Processes” tab, followed by the button to “Show all processes for all users”? Lastly, it appears that while you have DesktopServer installed in your virtual machine, did you open your browser in the VM as well? The VM is an isolated container and communication between DesktopServer and the web browser must be on the same machine.

Please let us know if this does not help resolve the issue.

    Regards,
    Stephen
